At the Help Me Grow Wichita County Family Resource Center, our mission is to strengthen protective factors by empowering families, fostering child development, and building a connected community where all can thrive. Through compassion, integrity, and intentionality, we provide accessible resources and support that are research-based and focused on promoting literacy and lifelong learning.

We believe in a "Do For. Do With. Cheer On." approach—meeting families where they are, walking alongside them, and celebrating their journey toward self-sufficiency. Our dedicated team is committed to creating a safe, welcoming space where all individuals are seen, heard, and supported.

What are your hours?

Our hours are 9:00-4:30, Monday through Friday. During this time, families are welcome to walk in to receive support and connections to community resources. Events are listed on the calendar; occasional evening and weekend events  are held each month (check the calendar for availability).

Are the events free?

Everything we do here at the Family Resource Center (FRC) is 100% free! No pre-registration is required. 

What ages are the events intended for?

FRC events are geared towards children aged 0-8, but we welcome children of all ages to participate!

What other services do you offer?

• Parent Computer Station

  • Caregivers can access the computers for:

    • Job preparation (job searches and applications, pre-employment online testing, resume building)

    • Printing (up to 5 pages per day)

    • The kids (ASQ completion, Books Beginning at Birth)

    • Food and health (apply for Medicaid, SNAP, WIC, etc.)

• Hygiene Closet

  • Caregivers (with children aged 0-8) can choose up to 7 items every 30 days. 

• Connection to Community Resources

  • Our Family Services Specialist assists families in:

    • Discovering and accessing local community resources

    • Guiding caregivers to developmental screenings and resources

    • Connecting caregiver to Care Coordinator Services

• Care Coordination

  • Assists caregivers in one-on-one and group settings with the following topics:

    • Budgeting

    • Goal-setting

    • Safety

    • Parenting classes

    • Child development
