Help Me Grow Wichita County is an affiliate of the Help Me Grow National Center and a member of the Help Me Grow Texas network. Help Me Grow focuses on utilizing existing community resources to help support early childhood development. There are four main components to the Help Me Grow framework.
The Centralized Access Point is where families make their first contact with Help Me Grow. Families call with questions regarding their child's development, behavior, and learning and are then connected to resources in the community to support their child's growth. Follow up calls are made to ensure the family's needs were met and offer additional services as needed, including free developmental screenings and care coordination.
Family and Community Outreach aims to promote healthy children by sharing child development information with families and community members.
Child Health Care Provider Outreach works to support service providers of all types, including early childhood educators, health providers, and others who serve young children and their families. Help Me Grow strives to help bridge gaps and break down barriers for all providers to help best support healthy child development.
Data Collection and Analysis works to identify gaps and barriers in service and share that information with community stakeholders. This ensures the systems in place in our community are working to the best of their ability to serve families and children in need.
